10 Tips to a Successful LaunchPAD Visit

Tip 1: Free parking is available in LaunchPAD Children’s Museum parking lot at the corner of 7th and Water Streets. Free overflow parking is located north at Prime Assisted Living. Metered parking is free in downtown Sioux City on weekends only. Use of other parking spaces south of our parking lot is prohibited. Violators will be towed at the car owner’s expense.

Tip 2: The museum, parking lot and the entire grounds are smoke-free (including e-cigarettes and smokeless tobacco).

Tip 3: Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Likewise, adults can enter the museum only with a child or a staff member.

Tip 4: Members should have their photo identification ready for check-in. On the weekends, use the special members-only check-in line if you have no guests with you.

Tip 5: Have fun and help us avoid breakdowns by refraining from using excessive force with the exhibits. If something does not seem to be working properly, please inform a member of the LaunchPAD staff.

Tip 6: Let the wind blow – use only scarves or red balls at the Scarf Shooter Exhibit. Other objects including paper will jam the shooter.

Tip 7: Food and drinks are not allowed outside the vending area.

Tip 8: Lockers are available for rental.

Tip 9: Free Wi-Fi is available during hours of operation. See guest services desk for password.

Tip 10: A private nursing area is located in the girl’s restroom.
